Bird Dog's are great for training trunk stability in various planes of motion. The aim is to stay as stable as possible in a neutral trunk position while moving through the shoulders and hips.
Utilising different limbs at different times addresses stability in extension, flexion, rotation and side bending of the trunk.
Start with 2-3 sets of 5 reps on each side and progress gradually from there. If these are all to easy, subscribe here to see upcoming video's where we incorporate resistance bands.
